Wall Fountain Installation And Table Top Fountain Set Up
Indoor wall fountains are truly captivating pieces that could animate the interiors of a home. These pieces are able to induce a relaxing environment through the aid of the sound produced by water rushing down the wall. Again and again, these water features are commonly placed at the entry ways to make sure that they are seen by visitors. However, if you want to make things a bit different for your home, you can place these decorative water features in any place inside the comforts of your crib.
To set up wall fountains, it is important to have these tools near you so that you don't have to go back and forth in your garage to pick them: drywall anchors, screw driver, a pencil, a drill and a hammer. Before your start drilling on your wall, make sure that you have read all the necessary instructions included on the package of your wall fountain. It is important to note that some fountains are already set up and only needs hanging, while there are also some types that have parts that needs to be connected before they can be used. Don't fret though as majority of the connections needed to be done for unset fountains are all direct processes, making them easier to set up; however, it is always best to look at instructions to get to know things more because fountain models still vary from one another.
The next thing that you should do is to locate a flat wall surface where the water will drift down slowly and beautifully, but a wall with ridges, curves or other patterns would also be a good choice as these imperfections can further heighten the visual appeal of the flowing water. Mark the wall where you intend to place your water feature so that you would be able to properly put your fountain in place. Once you're done making marks, it is time to decide on how you will affix your fountain. Wall fountains can be mounted in two means: first is by making slots at the back of the fountain where you can place the screws, and second is by hanging a bracket on the wall where you can easily mount your fountain.
As the second option is the easiest way to have a wall mounted fountain, the next thing that you have to do is to drill holes where you will place your anchors, where you will eventually place the fountain brackets. Once the anchors and brackets are in place, carefully station your wall fountain on the wall. Don't get too excited in plugging the cord as it still necessary that you fill your fountain with water; enough to cover the pump but not too full as the water may spillover on the edge of the basin. With all these things in place, you can now plug in your wall fountain and enjoy its relaxing sound and view.
If a wall fountain is too expensive for your budget, you can still have a water feature inside your home in the form of a tabletop fountain. This type of fountain is a project that you can do yourself. All you need are plastic tubing, a pump, stone ornaments, and a medium to large size ceramic, clear or colored glass bowl. To start with, place the pump inside the bowl and attach the plastic tubing to it.
Once you have placed the pump and tube inside the bowl, fill the bowl with your chosen decorative pieces to make your fountain look more appealing. These stones can also hide the cord of the pump, or if you want you can just tape the cord to the side of the bowl that is not too visible. Then, slowly add water inside the bowl enough to cover the pump. After doing this, you can now plug the cord and luxuriate in the flowing water of your very own tabletop fountain.
Indoor wall fountains are great decorative pieces that could liven up a rather dull looking wall. Aside from producing a panoramic view inside one's home, a wall mounted fountain is also capable of inducing a relaxing environment through the sound of cascading water. Aside from the wall fountain, the tabletop fountain is also a good means to bring in a water feature inside the home without the need for extensive installations.
